Nebraska Proposals Seek Education Funding and Labor Rights Amendments
The initiative petitions propose amending Article VII to guarantee free common school instruction for ages five to twenty one with funding raised beyond real property taxes and distributed to districts by the state superintendent. A second amendment would ban employment denial based on labor organization membership and define a labor organization. the article is self executing with enabling legislation possible.
