Citizens Military Training Camps In Nebraska In August

Reports from Nebraska indicate strong interest in a citizens military training camp at Fort Crook in August and a parallel Reserve Officers program. General Poore expects the full quota soon as the movement gains local support in Sidney with Rotary members backing youth enrollment. The program offers voluntary enlistment, free government fare and equipment, and emphasizes patriotism, discipline, and civic duty without obligating military service. An Omaha World Herald editorial supports national defense through citizen training camps as a peaceable balance to military strength. The piece ends with a brief aside on unrelated jokes about bread and a Ford model.
