KSID will begin broadcasting at 1540 kilocycles from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with ABC network programs and local news weather and sports. Open house for the public is planned Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Legion Park to view the new station and operations.

A severe hail and wind storm swept a 30 mile strip through Cheyenne County on Monday afternoon, destroying most wheat stands and damaging pasture. Cattle were hurt by hail, roads blocked by debris, and damage is estimated well over 250000 dollars, with Sioux Ordnance Depot reporting allied losses.

Early Potter Citizen Oscar E. Anderson Dies at 93
Oscar E. Anderson, early Potter homesteader born in Sweden January 30, 1859, died May 22 in a Loveland convalescent home. Funeral May 24 at Rice Funeral Home Fort Collins, interment in Fort Collins Cemetery. He helped file on a Potter divide homestead March 1885, helped incorporate Potter, served on the school board, and was active in Smyrna Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons, five daughters, 24 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.

Panhandle Wheat Crop Could Reach Forty Million Dollar Value

One hundred Boy Scouts and leaders joined the Windy Plains District camporee at Greenwood, with troops from Ordville, Lodgepole, Chappell, Gurley, Potter and two from Sidney.
