Ohio Oil Co expects to complete Newman No 1 and Miles No 2 wells this week, adding to Cheyenne County oil output. Newman shows oil at sand top with water at bottom and swabbing planned after cementing. Miles No 2 logged 1800 feet oil in a drill stem test, with more drilling before completion. Nearby wells Sparks No 2 and Lippstrew No 1 reported gas or abandonment, while Jacobsen No 1 wildcat near Sidney showed limited water with no oil yet, and West Peetz in Logan County expands with Gillham No 2 and No 4 progressing toward cementing and drilling.

Murder Suspects Return To Texas After Bridgeport Incident
An officer from Big Spring Texas escorted two brothers Benito Albarado Marquez 19 and Manuel 21 back to Texas from Bridgeport. They are charged with robbery by assault in the death of Pancho Bia a man aged about 45 to 50. Bia died ten days after the April assault with severe injuries including a fractured skull and multiple wounds.

Memorial Day Weekend Traffic Brings No Fatalities
Nebraska reports no highway deaths over Memorial Day weekend except a severe crash near Sidney injuring Quentin Gillette 20 who underwent emergency spine surgery and remained in critical condition. Elmer Sperry 23 was treated for injuries, and R L Reifschneider 40 avoided damage after a near- crash. A Sidney pair, Mrs. F R McCormack 40 and Mrs. Leland Mann Jr 23, died in a Montana collision. Weather was clear and driving conditions favorable.
