Improvements At Krueger's Park In Nebraska Resort

The Sidney town team fell 4 to 13 to Sterling American Legion on Sterling’s diamond Sunday afternoon. Thirteen Sterling runs included nine unearned due to Sidneys errors, while Sidney scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning. Pitcher Cook pitched well for Sidney but needed more support as Sterling benefited from errors. Slack starred for Peetz at third and Sidney’s lineup shows improvement over last season with strong outfield play by Chloupek.

Robley D Harris Former Sidney Official Dies in Omaha
Robley D Harris 75 former receiver and register of the government land office at Sidney and former Keith county state representative died Friday night May 23 at his Omaha home. A native of Zanesville Ohio he practiced medicine and ran a drug business in Paxton and North Platte before entering politics. He served two terms as state representative beginning in 1890 and was later land office receiver and register until retirement due to failing eyesight. He served as Civil War hospital steward under Miles and Custer and was survived by his wife Edith after 35 years of marriage. Burial arrangements to be announced.
