Sidney Junior High School contract awarded to Laramie firm
The Speigelberg Lumber & Building Company of Laramie won the $484,620 bid for the new Sidney Junior High School. Construction to start in a month, with completion targeted for the 1955 56 school year. Architect is Eugene Sternberg of Denver. The site lies east of the existing senior high. The project may allow adding two more classrooms and the current junior high building has been optioned to St Patrick’s Parish for use as part of St Patrick’s Academy.

Dalton Priest To Take New Parish
The Rev. Father James P. Fullam of Dalton will leave June 6 after 27 years serving St. Mary's Dalton and All Souls Bridgeport to become pastor of St. Michael's Church in Spalding Nebraska. A successor for the local parishes has not yet been announced. Fullam joined the area in 1927 from the Catholic University of America and has served Bridgeport and Angora, then Dalton and Bridgeport since 1932.
