Talking books aid for blind and handicapped readers
AMOW and Nessem Winkaermer announce talking books for the visually or physically handicapped. Unabridged recordings cover modern novels, adventure, westerns, mysteries, science fiction, history, biography, classics, plays, poetry, religion and the Bible. Machines play at no charge. Large print books from Sidney Library available via Lodgepole library or bookmobile. Nancy Fawcett Library closed Memorial Day and July Fourth. bookmobile visits several sites on a biweekly schedule through June and July.

The Peetz Junior-Senior high school held its annual awards Tuesday evening followed by senior class activities. Jeri Roberts Evelyn Fehringer Dave Davis and Gerald Larson received leadership and valuate student awards from Elks. Elaine Fehringer earned a Legion certificate for oratorical contest. Sylvia Tadolini Vince Fehringer and Don Walker won top junior lines from the Sterling Masonic lodge.

Laramie Peak Scout Camp Opens June 14
The 1970 Boy Scout Camp Laramie Peak begins its fiftieth year on June 14 with about 650 Scouts from 15 county area councils expected to attend. Camp is owned by the Wye-Braska Area Council and features the Pugsley Dining Hall Murphy Program Center Trading Post and other facilities.
