Topics included tentative approval of Alta Vista plot, rezoning for several blocks, building and occupational licenses, April 1953 utility bills and budget, Library report, road department letter, approval of appropriation ordinance No. 443, and introduction of ordinances 452 and 453 regarding Indian Hills Addition and city appropriations for interim public needs.
The Sidney city council considered an interim appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year 1953 and discussed creation of paving district 40 for Alls Avenue area with curb and guttering. Aimed to hire an engineer and publish proper notices, bids for water softener equipment were invited for May 15 and May 22 1953 with bids due May 29 and opening June 8.
