Aircraft Mechanics Course Added at Sidney Votec
A new airframe and aircraft mechanics course will join the Western Nebraska Vocational Technical School in Sidney starting July 1. Cecil Stanley predicts at least forty initial enrollees as the program expands drafting, welding, electronics and communications. Nebraska officials and Sidneys business community back the statewide recruiting push to fill a growing national demand for trained aviation workers.

Federal gift to Vo-Tech expands Sioux Depot site
The federal government will turn over land buildings and equipment valued at 800000 dollars to the Western Nebraska Vocational Technical School at Sioux Army Depot in Sidney. The state operates on a use permit with eventual title to about 1000 acres, 200 plus structures, and the equipment. The school opened last October and aims for steady growth with 1967 graduates already showing results.
