Eighth grade graduation ceremonies were held at the city auditorium for 199 Cheyenne county students. A musical program preceded diplomas and honors, with Evelyn Smith Ardis Niebuhr Cecile Murphy and others named among 1938 graduates. The program featured solos duets piano and voice numbers, followed by awards and diploma presentations and a benediction.

Irrigation Loans Planned in Nebraska Report
Rep. Binderup said he learned late Monday that the Reconstruction Finance Corporation will loan farmers money for wells and pumps to develop irrigation in Nebraska. Sidney reports a heavy noon shower delivering .62 inch in town and .47 at the airport. School Teacher Burns Last Month's Salary

School House Case Dismissed By Hand
The trial of the Central school house contract dispute was abruptly called off when James L. Hand filed a dismissal without prejudice. Hand had sued the board of education to compel completion of the sale of the Central school building and property, after paying a 500 forfeit but failing to settle the remaining 4 500 on delivery. Although dismissed, reports suggest the case may not be finished.

Barlows Father Dies After Stroke in Red Cloud
County Judge Robert A. Barlow rushed to Red Cloud as his father F. M. Barlow suffered a stroke Tuesday morning and died early Wednesday. Mrs. Barlow accompanied him and will stay until after the funeral service is held.

3 Year Old Drowns In Stock Tank At Redington
Leon Bovee three year old son of Mr and Mrs Harold Bovee of Redington district drowned in a horse tank Wednesday afternoon. Local reports say he was playing alone when the tragedy occurred. The Bovee family had moved from West Dalton after marriage. Further details were not received.
