Rotary Club of Sidney Founded in 1925 History
The Sidney Rotary Club began from a local initiative in the mid 1920s as leaders sought unity amid a divided era. Initiated by Earl Sherrerd and Tom Poole, the group formed after 17 businessmen signed on and held charter ceremonies in May 1925. The club met at several venues before settling at the Fort Sidney Motor Hotel.
