Opportunity in the Navy opens all ratings for service
The Army notes highlight that the Navy now accepts all ratings with rapid promotion for duty. Pay is among the highest for military service. Enlistments last for the duration of the war and include clothing allowances, quarters, and subsistence for dependents. Eligible men aged 18 to 30 may enlist as Seaman Second Class or Apprentice Seaman after Naval Training. Various ratings such as Fireman, Electrician, Machinist, Carpenter’s Mate, Hospital Corps, Yeoman, Musician, and Ships Cook are detailed with age limits, pay, and training requirements.
