Nearly sixty mothers and wives of soldiers attended the B.A.M. Club gathering at Mrs. Clayton Radcliffe’s home. The event featured patriotic displays, a program of readings and songs, and a showroom of trophies from the war era. A brick ice cream and cake reception followed, with free theater passes in the evening for attendees. Soldiers and sailors listed by name were represented among the guests.

Juvenile and Police Court Active in Sidney Case Docket
In Judge Chambers court two grade school youths faced punishment for pranks such as letting air out of casings and stealing car keys. Damages required restitution. youths remain home evenings and banned from the show for two weeks with a warning from the judge. Judge McCleneghan court notes dandelion harvesters and a Greek fight case at the round house. Sixteen city cases await hearings and eighteen were told to move on at Burlington. no ex-soldiers among them.
