The Office of Rent Stabilization relocates today from 101512 Illinois Street to 1010 Illinois across from Janda-Topin Drug Store. Hours stay 8:00 am to 12 noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. A full time rent director may be reinstated and controls likely extended in the Sidney Defense Area for months. The Sidney office has operated with one resident secretary and no local director for weeks. Funds are expected to restore the office to two-person staffing.

About 300 to 500 Nebraska Jaycees and wives will attend the state convention of the Nebraska Junior Chamber of Commerce in Scottsbluff this weekend. Roughly 50 from Sidney are expected.
