Traffic rule drive nets 177 violations in Sidney

Fire Suffocates Beloved Dog in City Apartment
A 15 year old toy bulldog died from smoke in a Friday fire at the W. J. Gausman apartment on 1945 Newton Street. Firemen say a cigarette dropped into a chair smouldered for hours, causing smoke damage but only the chair burned. The blaze was found shortly after 5 p.m. by upstairs residents before the Gausmans returned.

Serous condition after self inflicted gunshot in Sisney
Conrad Miller, a sergeant in the Air Force stationed at Fort Francis E. Warren Cheyenne, was found Sunday in his Sisney apartment with a .22 caliber pistol wound. His wife found him conscious but bleeding on Sunday evening and he was rushed to hospital where doctors reported the bullet not yet removed and he may be moved to a service hospital.
