A Gurley High School graduate, currently enrolled in drafting technology at Western Nebraska Vocational Technical School, has been accepted for membership in the Panhandle Pencil Pushers Club. A week long course at the Western Nebraska Vocational-Technical School in Sidney trained 16 attendees from the region on basics of operating a waste water facility. The program was sponsored by the University of Nebraska Extension, the Nebraska Department of Health, the Nebraska Water Pollution Control Association, and the Nebraska League of Municipalities. Three Car Crash in Sidney Causes Total Loss Vehicles Damaged
A three car collision occurred Friday at 3:30 p.m. at 10th Ave and Linden St in Sidney. Lowell L. Swanson, 1380 Country Club Dr, stopped at the intersection. Vicki L. Peters, 1407 Linden, followed and was struck from behind, pushed into Swanson by David L. Glassey of Lewellen. Swanson’s car suffered about 50 dollars in damage, Glassey’s pickup about 200 dollars, and Peters’ car was a total loss. Glassey faces police court charges for following too closely.
