Ag Graduates Move Around
Carroll G. French, a 1954 University of Nebraska agriculture graduate from Page, Nebr, serves on the Methodist Church in Africa Board of Missions. He directs an agricultural program at Kabaji leper colony, where 90 cattle are kept, mostly scrub stock with a few good African cows and a native bull.
Cultural program aims to raise cattle herd to feed patients
The plan seeks 500 head to provide monthly meat for patients. French notes cattle suffer various maladies and requests agricultural engineers to draft squeeze chute plans for treating cattle, hoping designs fit horned cattle. He, a Nebraska Sand Hills native, recalls horned cattle in mass numbers. Table tennis enters as a serious sport with title tournaments drawing many fans.
