Funeral services for Gene Laverne Wamsley Mi 29 will be held Saturday at the Presbyterian Church at two oclock. He died in a one car crash on State Route 29 south of Gering Monday night when his 1958 Chevrolet struck a concrete abutment. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Joyce two children Teresa Jean and William Eugene his parents and grandparents a sister and a niece and a nephew Memorials are requested for the nursing home addition to Memorial Hospital.

Helsing was born June 3, 1880 in Scandia Kansas, married William Helsing March 7, 1901, farmed in Kirk community, and later lived in Potter.

Spring Band Concert Set Tuesday May 13 Evening

Funeral services set for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Craig Mortuary and 2 p.m. at Weyerts Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. E G Thiug officiating. Burial in Weyerts Cemetery. Pallbearers named William Bartling Herman Florke Floyd Miller Edme Flessner Laverne Bauer Carl Jurgens. Born October 8 1878 in Losen Germany he came to the United States in 1888 and lived near Lodgepole before moving to a farm north of Lodgepole in 1906. He married Anna Borges in Weyerts Lutheran Church on December 16 1903. she died in 1951. A son William died in 1951 and another son Louis died in 1948. Survived by one son Fred of Oshkosh four daughters Mrs Edwin Boehmer Mrs Edward Borges Miss Lillian Schwartz and Mrs Laverne Flessner of Gurley 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
