Final Rites for Gene Wamsley 29 Held at Light Memorial
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Light Memorial Presbyterian Church for Gene Laverne Wamsley 29 killed in a one car crash on State Route 29 south of Gering Wednesday night. Rev H B Taylor officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include wife Joyce and two children, his parents, grandparents, one sister, and a niece and nephew. Western Nebraska obituary notice mentions his service in the U S Marines and prior work with Jet Drilling Co and in Sidney Jaycees and fraternal orders.
