ALA Poppy Day Observance Set For May 23
The American Legion Auxiliary annual Poppy Day will occur Saturday May 23 with Mrs Millard Zalesky Poppy Day chairman of Francis DeBrunner Unit Lodgepole reporting 20 million Americans are expected to wear memorial poppies this year The poppies are made by disabled war veterans at a Nebraska Veterans Hospital under state auxiliary direction and about 150000 volunteers nationwide will distribute the flowers
