New Moose Lodge to Be Established in Sidney Nebraska
A new Loyal Order of the Moose lodge will be instituted in Sidney Nebraska on Sunday May 17 at 1 30 p m in the Jaycee Legion Hall. Lee Hill says 150 new members will join as charter class with Gerald A Laux as class representative. The ceremony will feature Laramie Wyoming Lodge No 257 staff and Paul Banter installing officers including Jack O'Brien governor George Pace junior post governor and others. Lodges from Cheyenne Laramie Torrington North Platte Kimball and Scottsbluff expected. Residents may join by contacting Pace Loebe Braasch or Zwickl to pay dues before the institution date. Patrol units in Kimball Devel and Cheyenne counties logged 2086 hours in April with 1634 hours on county roads and 33050 miles driven under Sgt Mel Busekist. They inspected school buses, conducted 13 safety programs, assisted 125 motorists, cleared 73 obstructions, investigated 18 accidents, issued 526 moving violation warnings, made 292 arrests including nine for DUI, issued 413 equipment violation cards and performed 14 hours of vehicle checks.

Plane crash kills four near Wichita on way to Montana
Local CAP crews hunted a missing plane from Wichita to Great Falls with plans to check Sidney. The craft crashed five miles north of Wichita, killing Archie Carver, his wife, and two Carver brothers, pilot Guffrey Carver. a watch stopped at 4 26.
