Patrol units in Kimball Devel and Cheyenne counties logged 2086 hours in April with 1634 hours on county roads and 33050 miles driven under Sgt Mel Busekist. They inspected school buses, conducted 13 safety programs, assisted 125 motorists, cleared 73 obstructions, investigated 18 accidents, issued 526 moving violation warnings, made 292 arrests including nine for DUI, issued 413 equipment violation cards and performed 14 hours of vehicle checks.

Plane crash kills four near Wichita on way to Montana
Local CAP crews hunted a missing plane from Wichita to Great Falls with plans to check Sidney.
