Sam Fine's Home Guards will cross tomorrow on the home diamond to play Dalton. Admission is twenty five cents at two thirty. The promoter, Sam Fine, says gate receipts will cover all expenses.

A Visitor Speaks of Tama County Land Interest

G A Hutchinson of Tama county Iowa visited the city and nearby country where he owns land. He plowed and sowed a quarter section three miles north of town with wheat and oats, plans a fence, and may build a country home to spend part of each year. He declined a sale offer and is buying more tracts, saying the area's land improves with each visit.

Foot Crushed as Boy Loses Foot to Freight Train

Eighteen year old Jesse Bigelow of Blair attempted to board an east bound fast freight near the Burlington viaduct Thursday noon. His left foot was crushed and mangled. surgeons at Sidney amputated the foot above the ankle. Relatives from Blair were notified and his mother and sister are at his bedside.

Rest Room Open for Country Visitors at B M S Club

The B M S Club announces a rest room will open Monday May 8 during shopping hours for country ladies. A caretaker will supervise the room in the first house south of the sheriff’s residence for rest, refreshment, and child care.

Mother's Day Observed With White Flowers Advised

The town will observe Mother's Day on May 8 with services at the M. E. church and band bills noting the event. Citizens are urged to honor their mothers by wearing a white flower, a custom growing in favor each year.

Reverend Whitehouse Accepts Rectorship at St. Mark's Dunmore

Reverend Richard Whitehouse has accepted the call to lead St. Mark's church in Dunmore Pennsylvania a Scranton suburb with 14000 residents. He will direct 500 communicants receive a salary higher than before and live in a modern rectory.

An Omaha report says Dr Milli ner, experimental engineer for Union Pacific, has orders to immediately install wireless telegraph systems. First stations will be built at Sidney Nebraska and Cheyenne Wyoming, with a large station in Omaha to link smaller units along the line.

E C Stockdick has returned and reopened an office to continue a large land business. He recently was in Denver consulting a famed eye specialist and benefited. After a winter in Texas, an exhaustive southern survey found Cheyenne county best, and he is now housed in the Cleburne block.

Judge Tucker in Ill condition after heart attack

Last Saturday Judge Tucker suffered a severe heart attack the worst of his life. He was in critical condition on Sunday but has since improved with medical care and nursing. He remains weak and confined to bed, yet is comfortable and slowly recovering.

A Wednesday evening committee of Lady Maccabees presented Mrs. Richard Whitehouse with a gold pin inscribed with the Maccabee insignia.
