Cheyenne County agrees to place an old Union Pacific steam locomotive on the courthouse lawn facing 11th Avenue between Jackson and King Streets with future move rights. Kimball Tot Killed When Hit By Truck
Matt Jeffries two died Tuesday evening after crossing Highway 30 in front of the Jeffries home two miles west of Kimball. Louis Kuhnel Jr of Scottsbluff drove the truck that struck the boy and EE Carroll owned the vehicle. Sheriff Bradt said the boy ran to mail boxes then back toward home and was struck as an east bound truck passed. The accident occurred about 5 15 pm at the Haase trailer court. The boy died instantly.
