Jim Thompson was named to the Sidney Library Board at the regular Monday night meeting of the city council. He succeeds R. W. Brown whose resignation was accepted at the previous meeting. In other action the council set 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, as the time for a hearing on the application of W & M Inc. for a Class C license to replace the VFW post. Approval was given Ordinance 738 rezoning the east 65 feet of Block 19 Clarkson's Second Addition from Ael to C-1 and SB 602 prohibiting junkyards along highways and streets.

Anton E. Oliverius, 91, died Monday at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Dalton after a three year stay as a patient. A Lodgepole resident for 74 years, he was born in Czechoslovakia on March 24, 1874 and came to the U S at 17. Services Thursday at Gehrig and Son with Rev John L Schmidt officiating. burial in South Sundl Cemetery. Survived by five sons James F John Joseph A Anton Jr Henry and one daughter Josephine Rieken. 23 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife in 1958 and a daughter in 1909.

Thieves Push Car From Dalton Home Then Strip It Near Morrill County
In Dalton the owner James Weible reported a 1964 Ford convertible stolen early Tuesday. The car was wheeled into Morrill County hills about six miles northeast of Dalton where wheels tires battery radio and visors were removed. It was found about 1 p.m. the same day. Sheriff W W Schulz and Dalton Town Marshal Bob Ziegler confirmed the theft and concealment. The secluded hills have previously hosted similar thefts and the car was seen being pushed around 1 30 a.m. with no suspicions raised.
