Shorthorn Bull Brings Top Denver Market Price
Shorthorn breeder Carl Mahr of Sidney sold a 1995 pound roan bull at 17.50 per hundred, grossing 349.12, a Denver Record Stockman note. The 9 year old Superb Marshall, bred by M H Haskins & Son, surpassed prior Denver prices, as hogs in the shipment topped 27.75 per hundred. Mahr plans replacements Branith Emblem and Royal Jubilee, saying three Short horn types exist and polled bulls will be adopted when other ranches do.
