Lions Club Zone Meeting and Easter Plans Highlight Sidney
Six Gurley Club members and wives attended the Spring Zone Social in Sidney on Saturday marking the Lions Club’s 40th anniversary. At Grace Lutheran Church Sidneys Lions held a regular meeting with Miss Vikki Kangasperko Rotary exchange student from Finland presenting Land of Many Lakes slides. Tom Borges of Dalton spoke on Freedom From Hunger Foundation. Easter egg hunt set for Saturday at 10 A.M. at the school. Election of officers planned for April.

Reception for Father Bruening and Family at Sacred Heart
A reception in the Sacred Heart Parlors honored Rev. Fr. Robert Bruening and his mother on Sunday afternoon with ice cream and cake. Guests planned to leave after Easter. Numerous local families and visitors attended from Peetz and nearby areas, including extended visits and Easter vacation plans. Sterling Youths Caught in Marijuana Party Raid
Sterling police and Jovan County Sheriff officers seized about 25 grams of marijuana worth 30 dollars in a Sterling residence raid. Four juvenile boys aged 15 to 17 were questioned. three released while the 15 year old remained in Logan County detention facility. Charges pending in Juvenile Court. Con fisated items included raw marijuana packages pot party pipe and rolled cigarettes.
