Chicken House Inc formed by Edward Narjes and Kenneth Nienhuser plans a 32 by 132 foot frame building five miles south of town to house 4000 birds with 65 percent annual laying capacity, expanding to 8000 birds later. Eggs are to be sold in Denver with about 50 cases weekly production. Construction by Nienhuser Construction Co begins soon and operation expected in August. chickens arrive mid June. Eggs will be candled and graded, birds kept in cages with artificial lighting and forced air ventilation. Mr Nienhuser will manage the plant.

Frontier Air lines reported higher cargo activity in February across its 11-state system. A. Kenneth Stemler noted total February freight reached 862,040 pounds, up 31 percent from a year earlier, with 138,913 ton miles flown. Mrs. Runge 56 Dies. Rites Monday At First Christian
Mrs. George Runge, 56, died Thursday after a long illness in Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are set for Monday at 2 p.m. from the First Christian Church with Rev. B. E. Odgen officiating. burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The Craig Mortuary is handling arrangements and the family designates the church as a memorial. Adele Anna Hennig, born November 29, 1907, in Pender, Neb., daughter of Gustav J. and Minnie Feldman Hennig, moved to Dalton in 1916, graduated Lisco High School in 1926, attended Chadron State College, married George Runge on June 4, 1945, and lived on a farm west of Sidney. She taught school at Brownson, Lisco, and District 69 in Cheyenne County. Survivors include her widower, George. daughter Judy Ann, 14. her mother, Mrs. Gus Hennig of Dalton. brothers Fred Hennig of Dalton and Richard Hennig of Lisco. and five sisters Mrs. Louise Chichester of Ord, Mrs. Wilma Larson of Oakley, Kansas, Mrs. Ada Sharman of Ogallala, and Mrs. Helen McKinley and Mrs. Arlene Christenson, both of Sidney.

A Wichita couple and their three children were killed when their Piper Comanche 250 crashed about 20 miles west of Alliance. The victims are Eugene S. McClain 40 pilot Imogene his wife and their children Larry 16 Steve 10 and Kay 14. Wreckage lay in a 1 1/2 mile spread with the main section in a wheat field on Hilton Nielsen's ranch two miles east of Kirkpatrick Dam. Nielsen reported hearing the plane and seeing it spin downward before the crash. the engine appeared to cut out.
