Dalton History Booklet Highlights Fifty Years Of Progress
A local school published a Dalton history booklet summarizing the city’s growth since incorporation in 1909. Compiled by 7th graders under Mr Don Horn, the volume covers early stores, post office, railroad, schools, churches, and notable fires in 1915 1927 and 1942 plus the 49 Blizzard. It includes maps from 1908 and 1958 and notes a fall festival focus.
