County Clerk I. L. Pindell has received copies of the ballots for the primary election on April 14. Three ballots will be used the democratic republican and non political. In some districts additional ballots may be required for directors of public power districts though none are effective in Cheyenne county. The non political ballot will carry names of candidates for unicameral legislature county judge and district judge. In some districts it also will carry names of candidates for supreme judge and university regent but no election is held here on these.

Miss Lula M. Moody, 59, longtime Cheyenne county resident, died at Norfolk Wednesday. Geh rig funeral service transported the body to Gurley for 10 am services at Gehrig funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Moody lived about four years in the Gurley area and was sister of Mrs. Nellie Winegar, formerly of Gurley and now in Alliance.

County Clerk I L Pindell announced forty four old age pension checks had been issued through Wednesday noon. A new batch of fifteen approvals from the state assistance office was included from Tuesday.
