Weymouth Plans For Meeting Next Autumn
O J Weymouth principal of Sidney high school and president of district 6 of the Nebraska State Teachers association attended a meeting of district presidents in Lincoln Friday to plan conference programs. The NSTA has set October 28 to 31 for its annual conventions and district six will meet at Alliance. Districts one through five will meet at Lincoln Omaha Norfolk Kearney and McCook respectively with Weymouth and other district presidents arranging the conclave.

Supervision to open in county on last wheat pact
Officials of the AAA and Congress members say they must fund 1936 wheat benefit payments for applications signed before the January 6 Supreme Court decision. An appropriation was made, requiring claimants to plant 54 to 95 percent of their 1936 wheat base and apply 5 percent of that base as adjusted acreage. Lodge Pole Pioneer Passes After Long Illness
Jacob Abbe Bruns, longtime Cheyenne county resident since 1886, died at his Lodge Pole home after a prolonged grippe illness. Born in Germany in 1859, he came to America at age ten, settled in Illinois, then homesteaded in Weyerts area. He helped found Immanuel Lutheran church and was its last charter member. Funeral at Weyerts Lutheran Church with Rev. A C. Huth officiating. He leaves five children, three daughters in law, three sisters and many grandchildren.

Eight Month Old Child Dies After Brief Illness
Duane Edward Boyd eight months old son of Mr and Mrs Clarence W Boyd died at a local hospital Tuesday after a two day illness. He was stricken Sunday afternoon and showed initial improvement Monday before failing Tuesday. The funeral was conducted at the Methodist church with Rev John J Sheaff officiating and interment followed in Sidney Greenwood cemetery with Gehrig funeral service in charge.

Grading Project On Dodge Street Passed
City funds approved a $3,900 grading project on Dodge Street between 11th and 12th avenues. Federal share is $2,016 and sponsor share $1,878.
