Sidney Water Wells Show Stable Levels and Strong Pressure
Flora Sanis of the water and sanitation department reports stable water levels in Sidney’s six municipal wells with pressure as good as two years ago. In January and February the city pumped 47.37 million gallons, down slightly from 50.66 million a year earlier, despite peak historical use in 1955 and 1956. Capacity totals 9.432 million gallons daily across six wells. Individual well capacities are 1050, 1050, 1250, 900, 1100 and 1200 gallons per minute.
