No single hog breed or feed dictates success in Nebraska
Last season's Nebraska pig crop contest showed no one best hog breed, feed, or equipment. Winners relied on constant clean water, steady clean self fed rations, and a hog lot sanitation system promoted by County Agent Willey. They selected well bred stock, bred to a good boar, managed them well, and supported agricultural college progress. A $70,000 Congregational church will be erected in Chadron as soon as warm weather justifies. Work is progressing on the Chadron municipal hospital.
