Well Known Dalton Resident Dies After Flu Attack
Ida Marie Sallberg, wife of Thure Sallberg, a respected farmer two miles west and seven miles south of Dalton, died Sunday March 18 at 5 AM at the farm. She had been ill for months and confined to bed for three weeks with influenza and complications. Born in Horby Sweden in 1885, she came to America eight years ago and married shortly after. No immediate relatives in America. Funeral services led by Rev Hardin and Rev Kenyon at the Presbyterian church in Dalton Tuesday afternoon after home services at 1:30, with interment in Dalton cemetery. Mrs Zylphia Stoner a Sidney resident died Friday morning March 16 at Taylor hospital following an operation performed March 3 due to nervous trouble. She was 55 years old born November 24 1871 in Douglas county Nebraska. She had seven children from her first marriage to Albert Tobler and later married Eugene Stoner. She had been living with her son Ray Toble in Sidney for three years. She was a sister of J W Bilgiper Cheyenne county highway commissioner. (Continued on Page 5)
