Proposed Farm Bill Would Boost Nebraska Wheat Income
The Purcell Callan bill before Congress would raise Cheyenne County wheat farmers income by about a million dollars annually and boost Sidney area growers by over two million. NWGA endorses the plan at Ogallala and says a 2.50 per bushel food wheat price would lift Nebraska farm income by roughly 12.5 million.

Judge Approves Lump Settlements in Workmen’s Cases
District Judge John H. Kin sap approved two lump sum settlements under the Workmen's Compensation Law. Clarence C. Reeder vs Miers Well Service Inc. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. received 3080. Reeder was injured May 11, 1964 while employed by the firm. Richard H. Kennedy vs Botsford Companies was granted 3150 in a lump sum. Kennedy sustained injuries in an accident on Sept. 26, 1963.

County Board Approves Bookmobile Plan in Cheyenne County
Cheyenne County Commissioners A A Fenske Carl Olson and Bill Smith on Tuesday approved a resolution to fund the Bookmobile service starting July 1 with a small levy. A new air conditioned Bookmobile arrives in March, and nearly 10 000 books will be available through Sidney and the project funds. The library structure east of the city building will provide garage space for two Bookmobiles and storage for the service.

Draft Board Calls 13 For Exams In April

A petition for approval of a lump sum settlement for the May 28 1964 death of William Frazee 29 has been filed with Clerk Ruby Henkle. Plaintiff Yokyo Frazee and Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Co. have agreed to a 12350 settlement after Frazee was asphyxiated while repairing a leaking gas pipe at a customer's home.
