Sidney Gilchrist Camp Clarke Colton and Lodgepole precincts sent delegates with R P Scott named chairman of the delegation and a resolution to support Scott for the national convention in Kansas City.

Two Heavy Trains Reach Sidney on Union Pacific
Conductor H S Vinning hauled 102 loaded cars and nine empties from Cheyenne to Sidney Tuesday in a 4500 ton train nearly three quarters of a mile long. It broke in two after yard entry, injuring passengers 1 and 4. Engine 1504 with Engineer Gutch led. Thursday the record fell again with 110 loads totaling 5000 tons in twelve hours from Cheyenne to Sidney aboard a single engine.

A Mother Called Helen M. Gapen Dies in Bloomington
Mrs Helen M Gapen mother of Henry E and Fred Gapen of this city died Monday night at 11 at her daughter Laura Butler's home in Bloomington after a stroke of paralysis. She was born May 20 1888 in Greensboro Greene county Pennsylvania and married William E Gapen at Waynesburg Pennsylvania in 1858. Five children survive including Minnie Hagadern Buffalo New York and Mabel Gapen Bloomington.
