The proofs were tied to drafts that were not returned, leading Harrisburg News to note a possible robbery link. Postmaster Callahan reports no other missing letters, while J H McShane & Co warns that time orders on those drafts are non transferable unless presented by original holders.

Pioneer Judge Richardson Dies at Goering

Arrest of Mahaffey in Sidney Over Drunkenness and Concealed Weapon
Frank Mahaffey, said to be at Ogalalla, was arrested Saturday night in Sidney for drunken and disorderly conduct and carrying concealed weapons. He had just received a telegram reporting his child’s death at Ogalalla that afternoon. Arrangements were made for him to go to Ogalalla on Monday.

The Sidney School Board held its regular meeting at Director Dawson's office. They approved enlarging the basement cloak room to handle overflow from the Primary department as attendance exceeds current capacity. Miss Neubauer and Miss Elter will assist Miss McCoy in training the extra classes. School walks will be repaired and gravel added.
