The frame and radiator are combined in a patented design that provides a durable steam tractor appearance and a rigid foundation for engine and transmission. The radiator uses heavy boiler plate with riveted seams and boiler tubes for external cooling air intake, while circulating water is pumped through the cylinder jacket to cool the water.
The text describes a transmission with wide faced spur gears and a large shaft in babbitted bearings. Gears are enclosed to exclude dirt, ensuring long life. Bearings are interchangeable for field replacement. The worm gear and chain steering gear stays aligned for easy positive control even in wet, frozen, or rough ground.
