The Junior Chamber of Commerce backs a Get-Out-The-Vote campaign for next Tuesday's municipal election. Five hundred handbills will be distributed citywide Monday and free rides to polls will be offered by telephoning 5578 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The drive promotes voter turnout without backing any candidate. Twenty-one candidates appear on the ballot with ten advancing to the April 4 runoff to form the new City Council under the Council-Manager system.

Ruehman No 1 well yields oil in first test
Ninety feet of oil was recovered in the initial drill stem test at the Ruehman No 1 well in northwest 14 18 14 49. The Dakota sand first bench yielded oil saturation with no gas. a second drill stem test is planned.
