Mrs. Johnson Dies at 93 in Illinois Memorial Hospital
Bessie Caldwell Johnson, 93, of East St. Louis and Sioux Army Depot, died Tuesday after two weeks in Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be in East St. Louis with Craig Mortuary handling local details. She was born November 26, 1870, in Montgomery County Texas, married Archibald Johnson in 1898, served as secretary to the Illinois Attorney General from 1903 to 1941, and later lived with her son Ira Johnson at Sioux Army Depot for 37 years. Survivors include her son Ira and brother Barney Caldwell of Los Angeles.

March Winds Bring Snow and Sun Across Nebraska
March shifted from lamb to lion across western Nebraska with a quick 36 hour change. Temperatures rose into the 60s in the Panhandle Sunday then dropped with winds and light snow on Monday. A brief storm left a light snow cover, while heavier snow lay to the west near Chadron Scottsbluff and Sidney. overrunning from a low over southwestern Kansas caused the Nebraska snow with a front moving southeast. Road surfaces in the far west showed packed snow areas per state highway engineer John McMeekin.

Suit Seeks 7400 Dollar Judgment in Employer Case
Gwen Hudson doing business as Opportunity Personnel Service filed a district court petition against Talmadge Quick seeking 7400 dollars. The suit claims an employer employee relationship began January 21 1962 and alleges an agreement June 4 1962 to cover debits from wage advances and withdrawals exceeding commissions. It states Quick continued to draw funds and had accrued 7400 in debt by October 15 1963.

Mrs Niemann Dies at 35 in Cheyenne County Home
Mrs. William G. Niemann, 35, died Tuesday after long illness at her Huntsman farm home. Born July 26, 1928, she grew up in Cheyenne County, married William G. Niemann in 1949, and served in Providence Chapter 108 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, two children Kristi Lynn and Bruce Allan, her parents, a sister, and other relatives. She was active in the First Methodist Church and was a past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters. Services are pending.

Five Cars In Chain Crash Near Sund On Icy Highway 30
A five vehicle pileup on Highway 30 west of Sunol at about 9 p.m. caused extensive damage but no injuries, according to Trooper Felix Koenig of the Highway Safety Patrol. Eastbound Coombs towed a station wagon when ice caused a skid, colliding with a GMC pickup towing a Chevrolet. A third eastbound, Mrs. Elmer Phelps, slid off into the right ditch. A wrecker arrived to clear the scene.
