Memorials to St Patrick s Church or Cancer Fund. Born November 23 1910 at Shelby he moved to Cheyenne County in 1920 and farmed. Surviving: widow Lillian, father George W Messing, two sons Donald M Sidney and Kenneth E Cape Elizabeth Maine, two grandchildren, five sisters Mrs Francis McElfresh Mrs Gail Jarred Mrs Evelyn Kloberdanz all of Sidney Mrs Robert Schweitzberger Denver Colo and Mrs Roy Brethour Scottsbluff. Preceded in death by mother 1953 and brother Anthony 1958.

Two Breakins Reported in Sidney This Weekend
Sidney police logged two breakins and a theft over the weekend. Suspects likely hit the Sidney Country Club pro shop and Hillside Golf Course, stealing six turtle neck shirts and small cash. A warehouse at Cawley’s Potato Chip Co. saw entry via window with about 79.30 in goods taken. Vehicles reported two tires and license plates stolen. A diamond ring belonging to Clair Haven was recovered as police consider charges.

An apparent oil discovery was reported in Cheyenne County eight miles east and five north of Sidney.
