19th Annual Symphony Concert in Sidney High School
The Sidney High School Symphonic Band presents its 19th annual mid-winter concert this Sunday at 2:30 in the junior high auditorium. Guest soloist is Dr. Loren Bartlett of Colorado State College, with band director Larry Pippitt. The program features arrangements and works by Gates, Falcone, McBeth, Sousa, Telemann and more.

Auto Severs Phone Cable Near Dalton
A one car accident half a mile north of Dalton on U S Highway 385 around 11 p m Tuesday night interrupted telephone service for nearly six hours between Sidney and Alliance Hemingford Hyannis and Bingham. Andrew Jensen 35 of Bridgeport drove off the road and hit a pole causing the cable to part. he was not seriously injured and the car suffered more than 900 dollars in damage. The cable carried both commercial and some private lines.

Five Day Jail Terms For Train Ride Theft
Four young men were arrested by the Cheyenne County Sheriff for stealing a ride on a freight train. In Cheyenne County Court they were found guilty of a train riding misdemeanor and sentenced to five days in county jail with $7.50 costs. Ring Stolen and Dog Bite Report from Sidney
Clair Haven of Sidney reported a $200 diamond ring stolen from his home on Wednesday. Authorities at North Ward School say a boy was bitten by a dog on the school playground with no alert issued to locate the dog. Two Sidney Scouts to Be Named Eagle for 1969
Two 16 year old boys Paul D Roberts and Brett Belden will receive Eagle Scout Awards at an Eagle Court of Honor this Sunday at 2 30 p m in the First United Methodist Church. Paul is a sophomore at Peetz High School and Brett is a sophomore at Sidney High School. Both have long scouting records including Camp Laramie Peak Philmont 1968 and the 1969 National Jamboree at Farragut Idaho. They have held multiple leadership posts and earned numerous ranks and awards including the God and Country Award for Brett and the Order of the Arrow memberships for both.
