Rites Tuesday For Thomas Sethaler Peetz Resident
Thomas Sethaler 85 longtime Peetz resident died Friday at Memorial Hospital after illness. Funeral rites Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church Peetz with burial in Greenwood Cemetery Sidney. Rosary tonight at 7:30 at Gehrig and Son Funeral Home. He was born December 12 1873 in Partch Austria and married Margaret O Connor March 5 1901. He lived in Sunol Loop City and near Peetz before a 1907 homestead. Surviving are daughters Theresa Hemmer Kimball Velma Hawkins Peetz sons Kenneth Perry Denver Keith Kent Peetz nine grandchildren and two sisters Catherine Bruner Theresa Waltzer in Germany.

Sidney firemen chalk up first March fire
Sidney firemen, who answered only one fire in the city during January and one in February, chalked up their first March call. Two firemen made a silent call to the John Brauer home about 9:30 p.m. Sunday where a furnace blower motor short caused 25 damage. The two prior January and February fires were automobile blazes.

New Home Agent Martha Stephens Assumes Duties
Miss Martha Stephens 22 of Waco Nebraska arrives in Sidney to begin duties as Cheyenne County Home Extension Agent. She fills the vacancy created last May when Bonnie Lindau left the post and will serve about 350 county women, 240 4-H youths, and county fairs. Stephens is a 1958 University of Nebraska agriculture graduate and recently trained in Hebron under Clara Houtz and Victor McClure.
