Traffic Accident Causes $485 in Damages
Sidney police reported a two car collision at 17th and Milne late Wednesday afternoon. John Filley of SOD and Vicor Ut of Gering were involved. Ott sustained about $400 damage and Filley about $85. Filley was charged with failure to yield and paid a $10 fine in Police Court Thursday.

Governor Recount Called Off in Nebraska
The Nebraska governor recount was halted at the request of former governor Victor Andersen. 500 Motorists Still Lack 59 Registrations
About 500 Cheyenne County motorists will be without their 1959 auto registrations this weekend. County Treasurer M. M. Inhelder estimated around 1,500 motorists obtained their certificates and license plate tabs this week, while more than 500 still hadn’t. Long lines filled the Court House lobby Friday as last‑minute attempts were made to get the tabs before windows closed.

Kimball Man Hurt In Oil Rig Mishap
Doyle Packer a 25 year old Kimball oil field worker suffered head lacerations and severe bruises in a rig accident around 730 am Friday. He worked for Kimball Service Power and Tong Co. and was struck by falling pipe during a crew lift on the Mohatt lease six miles southwest of Sidney. He was taken to Sidney Memorial Hospital for observation.
