Adam Ickes Dies at La Grande Hotel Wa hoo Neb
Adam Ickes proprietor of the La Grande hotel in Wahoo Nebraska died at his home February 17 1917 at age 71 years 10 months 8 days. He lived in Wahoo about three years and ran the hotel. Born April 9 1845 in Pleasantville Pennsylvania he married Elizabeth Harbaugh December 27 1865. He served in the Civil War and later moved to Sidney Nebraska before settling in the state. He was a member of G A R and I O O F and survived by his wife four of six children remaining.
