Robert Huffman of Hastings, a traveling salesman for Huffman General Supply of Lincoln, spent a couple of days in the city last week representing the firm and visiting old friends S. P. Witters and family while recalling incidents from their Indiana upbringing on adjoining farms.

The National Cafe has been purchased by Mr. H. Scott of North Platte. It has been thoroughly renovated and will be conducted in a first class manner. It will open for business tomorrow, Saturday. Scott is an experienced man in the food field.
Miss Olive Mann entertained four tables of ladies Monday evening at 500. Mrs Hardy had best first place and Miss Corbett second. Mann's two course lunch featured ice cream molds with tiny cherry trees in the dessert. Miss Nina Braasch and Miss Nora Braasch returned Thursday after a three week absence eastward visiting relatives in Norfolk and Omaha then Chicago for millinery shopping.

A Sidney garage change moved when C. R. Owens sold to R. H. Rogers and H. B. Sweet of Denver. The Sidney Motor Company will continue the same lines of business. Rogers and Sweet bring experience. Owens will focus on a farm truck agency and his improved farms across three states.
Mrs Charles Mann entertained twice this week with five tables of guests at Monday and Wednesday luncheons. Pink and white decor featured carnation flowers and heart score cards. Prizes included watercolor sketches in gold frames by the hostess. Stover won top honors. Zimmer tied for second. Wednesday winners were Mrs Simodynes first and Mrs Lloyd Mann second.
