Fordson School To Be Held Here On Thursday
An announced Ford tractor instruction school will be held at Sidney Motor Sales rooms and the U S A theatre on Thursday of this week. Figures in the Manila Service Bulletin show Nebraska gasoline tax receipts since April 1 1925 to December 31 1926. Ninety five million four hundred thirty thousand nine hundred sixty one dollars and eighteen cents collected from five hundred nineteen registered companies. In 1926 twelve Nebraska oil firms sold over one million gallons each. Standard Oil led with about 34.9 million gallons.

William Welch, thirteen, of Pine Bluffs, packed a suitcase and rode a bicycle toward Kansas City after his father refused pocket money. After 30 miles, Kimball County sheriff stopped him near Bushnell and returned him home. He hoped to find work in Kansas City and start his own business.

President Coolidge vetoed the McNary Haugen farm relief measure citing unconstitutionality and opposition from major farm groups. Venango Man Held For Violation Arraigned In Nebraska
Iliam C. Elder of Venango Nebraska was arraigned yesterday before United States Commissioner Joseph Oberfelder for violation of the Volstedt act. He pleaded guilty and was bound over to the federal court to be held at McCook next week. Elder was placed in the county jail and will be transported to McCook next Saturday.
