Survived by widow Mattie, son Arthur H. of Sidney, and grandson Arthur H. Dilley Jr. of San Francisco. Arthur H. Dilley Sr. once publisher of The Sidney News.
The third annual Fourth of July in Dalton includes a 2 PM ball game Broadwater versus JD Dalton, a 6 PM picnic supper in the park with free ice cream coffee and lemonade, a 7:15 PM band concert, fireworks and a dance. Donald Lewis Sprengel a 23 year old Good view Community farmer died in a Chappell hospital after a tractor accident Wednesday afternoon near the Deuel Cheyenne county line. He was alone when the machine upset into a borrow pit, suffering a head injury and died early Thursday. He is survived by his wife Betty Lehmkuhl and two children. Funeral services are set for Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church Chappell with burial in Lodgepole Cemetery.
The Cheyenne County Chapter of the American Red Cross launches a free swim program at the Sidney pool after delays from weather. Instructor managers Don Downs and Mrs. LaVern Anthony lead water safety classes with helpers Muriel Story and Arlina Harte.
