Fourteen 4-H Clubs Elect Cheyenne County Junior Fair Board
At the Cheyenne County Courthouse District Courtroom fifteen 4-H clubs elected a six member junior fair board for a three year term. Elected were Gary Policky June McMillen Ken McMillen Harold Irwin Pat Sullivan and Connie Hruska. The board oversees 4-H entries and activities at the county fair with nominations from the floor. Ivan Liljegren acted as temporary chairman. An organizational meeting and officer selection is planned for July 1 at the city auditorium.

Roy Diederich 69 Dies. Services Pending
Roy E. Diederich aged 69 died yesterday afternoon at Veterans Hospital in Cheyenne Wyoming where he had been a patient for nearly a year. He was among the first workers at Sioux Ordnance Depot as a truck driver from 1941 until 1950 when his health failed. Services are pending with Gehrig and Son Funeral Home in charge. Memorials are designated to Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital and the Cancer Fund. He was born August 31 1889 in Saline Kansas and moved to Bloomington Nebraska as a child before enlisting in World War I. He married Nellie Kruse on November 7 1940 at Harrisburg. Survivors include his wife one daughter Joe Jack Jerald all at home four stepchildren Nels Kruse Dale Kruse Mrs Arlin Schilz and Mrs E R Sikes l1 grandchildren and a sister Mrs James Williams.

Farmers Elevator Stockholders Meet At Chappell Hall
More than two hundred stockholders gathered at the American Legion Hall in Chappell for the 44th annual Farmers Elevator Company meeting. Manager Glenn Taylor reported year earnings of 104,668.31 dollars with 93,620.60 dollars returned to stockholders as interest and patronage refunds. Directors Leroy Clark and Haven Smith were elected for two year terms. incumbents R. P. Akeson A. C. Cabela and William F. Johnson remained on the board. Door prize winners were Harold Peterson Percy Barnes Boyd Weist William Mizell George Rabe and Rickie Clark. After the meeting the board elected Akeson president Smith vice president W. E. Zehr secretary and treasurer.
