Combines Must Have Weed Notice Posted in Nebraska
W L Klatt of the State Weed Control Division reminds farmers that the Nebraska Noxious Weed Law requires notices on all combines and threshing machines in operation. Machines and equipment must be cleaned after threshing grain on farms with noxious weeds. Notices advise producers and dealers that grain containing noxious weed seed may be sold only for processing to remove or destroy seed. Producers and dealers must declare the presence of such seed when offering grain for sale. Notices are available at county agricultural agents offices or county clerks in counties without agents.
