Thunderous crowds are set for Fort Sidney Days with two big parades on Friday and Saturday. Friday features a 10am parade down Illinois Street with 200 youngsters in costumes, bands, and contests. Funeral services were held for Emma Irene Killham 78 at The Gehrig Funeral Home. The Rev Howard Osborne officiated with interment in Sidney cemetery. A Genoa Nebraska transplant and 30 year Sidney resident she was born in New Elm Minnesota and married James F Killham in 1885. Survived by nine sons and one daughter, twenty six grandchildren eleven great grandchildren with pallbearers being her sons.

Pumping test near Gurley yields 121 barrels in seven hours

Wheat Disease Probe Underway In Nebraska Counties
